Audit Position Example: Bluebeam Revu

The following image shows an example of an application specific Audit Position Summary.

The Vendor column has a partial value bluebea entered, this results in only those rows that include bluebea to be shown
The Application column show the specific applications found
The Version column is directly obtained from the application installation
The Inventory Scan Discovery indicates TRUE if the application shown was detected via an inventory scan
The Active Usage Discovery indicates TRUE if the application shown was instead detected via actual usage
The Software Category column indicates the user defined category, if the application shown has been included in a software category
The Workstation Count column indicates the number of workstations where found
The Workstation Count Where Used column indicates number of workstations detected with usage of the application during the reporting period

Active versus Idle Utilization

The following image shows overall active and idle time for each application usage.

For each application, Vendor, Application Name + Version are shown
EXE Name shown, followed by columns revealing data embedded within, EXE Version, EXE Description, EXE Product
Yellow highlight indicates filtering by values shown (365 and excel.exe) to provide immediate access to records of interest
Total Usages indicates the number of times the application was opened during the reporting period
Active Time indicates the overall amount of time the application was active, current focus of user input
Idle Time indicates the overall amount of time the application was running but not the current focus of user input
Idle Time also accumulates whenever a screen saver is active
Total Time indicates the total amount of time the application was running
The final 3 columns (not shown) the raw number of seconds of the values in the prior 3 columns
The icons shown at top left of the image enable exporting the report directly to sortable HTML or CSV file

The following image shows a sortable+filterable Adobe® Creative Cloud User activity report.

This sample report can be used for any application, Adobe® is used an example
Reporting can be for any combination of Adobe® Creative Cloud products
Date range indicated at top of report
Column headers indicate data type, the first column is customer-configurable, enabling grouping of workstations per business unit
Components Used (column) indicates the number of unique Adobe® applications used including multiple versions of the same product
Unique Page Titles (column) indicate the number of different window captions presented to the user, higher number equals more engagement

The Application column has value Acrobat entered, this results in only those rows that include Acrobat to be shown
The value ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD (shown in the Application column) is a software category tag created to include specific Adobe® applications; multiple categories can be created as needed
The Adobe® application names and versions shown in the Application column are what the indicated user opened on the selected workstation during the reporting period
The #Usages column is the total number of usages, in the Application column each unique value includes a count value detailing the number of usages of that specific component
At the bottom of the report, the number of filtered rows compared to the total number of rows is presented
This report is contained in a single HTML file that can easily be shared as needed; an interactive version is included next

The Vendor name shown is directly provided by the installed application
The Applications shown are provided by an inventory scan that determines the application folders+filenames that are used to determine usage
The Version values shown are directly provided by each installed application
Important: The specific product(s)+version shown have not had used, however, other versions of the same products may be installed and were used during the reporting period
